About Rich

Meet Rich Rorex, the guitar guru! He’s a jack-of-all-trades when it comes to playing, singing, and recording. His music knows no bounds and his personality is as smooth as his licks. He’s got a knack for making even the most intimate gigs feel like a party.

Rich is a master at teaching. He has a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Music from Cornish College of the Arts, and  Masters Degree in Teaching.

Rich is well versed in several musical genre, both in modern and traditional styles, including pop, jazz and classical. You hear reflections of that in his CD’s and performances.

Accomplishments

West Side Story pit orchestra production by Meta Performing Arts

Performed the “Vivaldi Concerto for Guitar” with the Saratoga Chamber Orchestra.

Princess Cruise Line – Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dream Coat, Andrew Lloyd Weber, pit orchestra.

Soloist at the Snoqualmie Casino in the Terra Vista room.

Played Community Concerts as a soloist as well as in ensembles.

Master Classes with George Benson, Howard Roberts, Steve Morse, and Don Mock.

25 years as a lounge musician including lead guitar and vocals with one of the Northwest’s well-known bands The Sonics.

Opened for The Impressions, The Kingston Trio, and Confunction.

Studied privately with guitarist Al Turay and world-renowned Gary Peacock.
